So the American Hitmen are on a short tour through the Middle-East and Europe. Sound like some of their luggage was lost in the travel but they still look awesome. Especially Dave, sporting the GnG t-shirt and making it look good. Hope he doesn't have to wear it for too many days in a row... could get ripe pretty quick in Egypt.
So Friday night was awesome. The Utah Music Festival seemed to be a hit. We took the stage at The Royal at about 11:30pm and rocked till they kicked us out. Meaning, just before last call. It’s always so much fun to play to so many of our friends and make new ones along the way. The opening act was The Cold Year. Really cool three-piece band, killing it with some wild rhythms and a signature megaphone mounted on a mic stand. Then
Skye took the stage. What an awesome stage presence she has. Totally digging her look and sound. They were short a drummer so they ran digital drum tracks. It was really interesting to see them pull it off, and they did. It was really cool. I am hoping the Utah Music Festival has us back next year.
Next up: St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. March 18th, we are playing with Royal Bliss at Kamikaze’s in Ogden. I have never been to Kamikaze’s but from what Jesse and Steve were saying it is a pretty cool venue with a spacious stage and lots of room for people to dance and...
March 18th we're back at it, playing with one of the baddest bands to break out of Utah to take the country by storm. Troubadours and O.G.'s of rock n roll, Royal Bliss have invited us back to share the stage with them at Kamikaze's in Ogden for a St Patty's Day celebration. There's a pot o' gold at the end of that rainbow, so don't miss your chance to party with the leprechauns. Tickets available now at http://smithstix.com/
LOOK OUT!!! Spring is coming and so are tons of more shows featuring us! Your favorite local band. The Utah Music Festival is going on this March 2nd thru the 5th. We are playing March 3rd, at The Royal with Skye and The Cold Year.

So we played at The Royal again on Friday. Yes it was Black Friday and funny how that was the day Fidel Castro died too. The man who vowed to destroy America before he died, passed away on the biggest shopping day and the most capitalistic day of the year. Regardless, this show was fun and wildly fantastic. The band that opened was Jack Wilkinson and The Elders, great band. Geed Wilde, their bass player had an equipment malfunction so he borrowed my Mike Dirnt Fender to play their set. He made it sound good. Great band. Then we took the stage. We didn't get to play our whole set because of the delay with the bass issues but still we rocked a pretty solid set and the crowd was so responsive and loud.
Kudos too to our set of regular fans that are always there. Trevor, the drummer for Berlin Breaks took this shot just as we finished. What a great crowd. Speaking of Berlin Breaks, they came up next and killed a solid set with their new lead man McKay, they are sounding as good as ever and t...
We are playing at First National Bar in Pocatello, ID. Come see us there. The other band is gonna be Paper Apes. The show is being put on by Owsley Promotions. Check out the Facebook feed below to get more info.
Still feeling the rush from the show we played Friday night. It was really fun and so cool to play with the American Hitmen. Also played, Bury the Wolf and Outside of Society. Look them all up if you have a chance. We all dressed up in some sort of costume and Chandra really went all out Mad Max style.
Also, my son Jonah, just recently turned 21 so he came out to the show. The American Hitmen were auctioning off a guitar as a fundraiser to help a friend with some medical bills that, of course, neither insurance nor Barak will help with. So Jonah dropped $20 on tickets and boom! Won the guitar. Totally pumped over that one... It's a Squier Bullet Strat and all the bands signed it. This one was particularly cool cuz it doesn't have just the regular sunburst finish. It is like a three-tone yellow, coffee and black. It is really cool. Anyway, it was a really good night and I hope people remember it.
Appending: Our friend, Alan Roy Carrington got this great video of our song Holding On at The...
